Spartans Await Contract From Green Bay Team

PORTSMOUTH, O., Dec .1 - With the arrival of the Green Bay eleven back in the home port, the status of the Green Bay-Spartan game in Universal Stadium, Dec. 13, will be settled.

When the schedule meeting was held in Chicago last June, Portsmouth and Green Bay owners agreed tentatively for the Packers to play their last game of the season at Portsmouth, Dec. 13, just like they did last year. Neither team drew up a contract and with the arrival of the Packers in their own town, the Spartan management expects to receive a regular contract.

While in Portsmouth Sunday, President Joe Carr of the pro league, said he never heard anything to the contrary that the Packers would play here as tentatively scheduled. He said he expected to be here to attend the game.
